Potential Transformer (PT)
Potential transformers are used to measure current and voltage circulating in electrical power systems. They are designed to control circuitry of high voltages by making use of a highly accurate transformation ratio between magnitude and phase. Potential transformers can also be used to step down the system voltage to a safe value which can be fed to low ratings meters and relays
Standards
Estel’s potential transformers are designed and tested according to IEC60044-1, IEC60044-2 or as specified by customers.
Features
Features and benefits
- Primary terminals can be connected either in line-to-line or line-to-neutral configuration
- High quality silicon steel used
Applications:
- Monitoring of single phase or 3-phase power line voltage
- Power metering
